I began my career with Pulte Homes July 10, 1996. There has never been a day I haven’t enjoyed coming to work. From the beginning, I had the feeling the company and my supervisors cared about me. When I interviewed for the job I felt like that person was trying to sell me on Pulte, rather than me trying to sell him on me. I started out as a service technician and within two years I was promoted to my current position of Area Manager. I’ve always felt that my opinion mattered. All too often a company’s upper management doesn’t care about what employees have to say or what their ideas are. Pulte Homes is not one of those companies. Not all ideas are implemented, but they are considered, and they DO listen. In fact, Pulte encourages its employees to become more involved with the inner workings of the organization. These are attributes of a progressive company that cares about it people. I’ve never regretted joining the Pulte family, and it is a family. Pulte Homes is people who care about people. Not only those that work for them, but also their customers. This is of great importance to me because it makes me feel good about what I do. I am proud to work for Pulte Homes because of their dedication to the people within the organization and the commitment to their customers and their satisfaction. I am a very new employee at Pulte Homes, but have been absolutely amazed at the respect and value that this company places upon its employees. There is a true sense of camaraderie and teamwork evident throughout the company and I am extremely impressed with benefits and training that is offered here to every employee. My position is certainly what you would deem “low on the totem pole”, yet I am greeted and treated with dignity and respect and am encouraged to be a part of things around here! My idea of a great company to work for is a company that you enjoy waking up to every morning and getting ready to go and give 150%. That is what Pulte is to me. I wake up every morning knowing that I am getting ready for work, but enjoying the fact that I love the company that I work for. The amazing philosophy, structure, and most of all the employees, are what make this company the best to work for. I am still at an age where if I am not happy with where I am or whom I work for that I can just stop what I’m doing and look elsewhere. As far as I am concerned, I am done looking. This is where I want to be, this is where I plan to retire. In my eyes, there is no better company to work for other than Pulte Homes and I know that the people I work with and for will say the exact same. My position as Sales Counselor is of pretty high stress, but you would never know that from any of our attitudes and expressions. The only reason is because of this company and its leadership.
