Title: Land Department Intern
Location: Northern New England
Number of Years at Pulte Homes: 3 months

As an intern, I have been employed by Pulte Homes for just over a month. However that month has been more than enough time for Pulte’s excellence, not just as a homebuilder, but as an employer, to make itself completely apparent to me. On my first day of work, the New England president, stood in front of the division’s employees and clearly stated that the expectations set for us: the highest possible levels of product quality, service and financial responsibility all encapsulated in a single phrase, “Customer Delight”. At first this catch-phrase seemed silly to me, but after a few days I discovered that this core value was what drove Pulte to be an industry leader and a company that I was proud to work for. From exhaustive searches to find the best land for new development to serious discussions regarding CSMS scores, I have seen Pulte’s corporate culture of “Customer Delight” motivate new England’s employees, myself included, to strive for and attain success in all facets of building and selling new homes. Working with a group of such motivated achievers in an environment where the pursuit of profit goes hand-in-hand with the highest ethical standards is incredibly fulfilling, not just professionally but personally as well. In my eyes, what truly makes Pulte a “great employer” cannot be found in the usual list of employee benefits like retirement plans and vacation time. What makes Pulte a great employer are the goals for excellence its sets, works towards and surpasses.

Title: Sales Manager
Location: Northern New England
Number of Years at Pulte Homes: 9 years

The Delaware Valley was where I began my career with Pulte Homes. We had the most amazing team of people. A group of individuals so diverse who could ever imagine we could come together to achieve great things. We shared a common goal, to make sure our homeowners received a quality home at a fair price. Back then was only the beginnings of “homeowner for life”… we had started it in our little division long before it was a corporate mission. We had great leadership, and because of that we all took our jobs, no matter the position, to heart. Everyday we put ourselves in our homeowners’ shoes, what would we do if the home we were discussing was our own, or better yet, the home of our own mother? On a daily basis we would strive to do the right thing. Sometimes that meant standing behind our word and our work, even if it cost the company money. Our division was led with only positive feedback, you could see that come through every employee. We were a wonderful group of people that worked hard at solving problems, making things and people better, and never pointing fingers. Yes, Pulte is a great place to work and grow… from the day I started, 9 years ago, and it remains so to this day.
