I think Pulte Homes is a great company to work for numerous reasons, but the first and foremost is the spirit of the company and it employees. To give you an example, my husband is a United States Marine. They have an expression that entails their feelings of unity, pride, and brotherhood. It’s “esprit de corps”. I have stated to my husband that here at Pulte, we could be called “esprit de Pulte”. It’s that sense of unity and shared purpose that we are all working for together that I am drawn to and respect. We are all working towards a common goal and the sense of teamwork and accomplishment makes this job a joy to come to everyday. I have worked at two different Pulte locations in two different cities. When I found out that my husband was set to transfer to a new station here in Washington DC, I immediately thought of transferring to another Pulte office. I did not want to give up the feelings of pride I got from being a Pulte employee. I like being able to tell people that I work for Pulte Homes and getting a feeling of pride when they say, “Oh, I live in a Pulte Home and love it!” or “ I have heard good things about their homes” I like being able to work for a company whose product I believe in 100%. There are a lot of people out there who can’t say the same!

“Pulte might be a good place for me to work?” I told my wife. I’d contracted to work in the home of David Graham, the V.P. of the Washington Division. The Grahams had been fair and kind to me. Later, I accepted the Division’s generous offer to join the Service Department. I knew I’d joined a solid, national company leading the way in the home building industry. And I soon realized I was becoming part of a local team, where I could be valued as an individual. During these two years, my hopes have been met in many ways. No major builder equals Pulte’s investment in training its people. I’ve received extensive, job-specific instruction, and regular seminars hosted by outside specialists in computer skills, customer relations, leadership and personal character development. Pulte’s corporate culture challenges us with the highest standards, while giving us everything we need to succeed. Our leadership helps us build mutual trust and support among our immediate team members. The growing camaraderie makes all the difference in the day-to-day enjoyment and satisfaction at work. All that combines to give our homeowners an excellent product plus our ongoing commitment to make our customers delighted with their builder and their home.
