My name is Melvin Taylor and I work as a Sales Counselor in the Austin TX Division. I began my career at Pulte in the early summer of 2002. I was 40 yrs. old at the time and when I was hired I had determined that my next employer would be my last. Pulte provided me a great salary, super benefits i.e.: health, dental, 401K, excellent training, reasonable hours, and most of all opportunity for growth. I was hired into the Warranty Department as a service manger and enjoyed my job immensely. In the beginning of 2003 I was called to Active Duty and took a leave of absence to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Just before leaving I was given my annual evaluation. It was at that time I expressed my interest in sales as a Long Term goal at Pulte. I served for a year and just before returning back I was given an interview for the sales Dept. Consequently I was hired and things have gone from great to super. My first three months out of training Feb, March, and April I was salesman of the month. My Project Manager, Builder, and Warranty Manager have been great to work with. It’s great to work for a company that allows its employees to determine just how far they can go. As well as work for the premier builder in the U.S. I’m proud to be a Pulte employee and look forward to the next 20 yrs here. Thanks for the Stage to Perform!
