When I first heard about Pulte from a friend who interned for the summer, he told me what a great place it was to work. He described the various things the company did to give back to the employees. From that point on I tried feverishly to interview for a position. My goal had been to work for a homebuilder and Pulte sounded like the ideal company for which to work. I was so excited when I got hired. From the first day I walked through the office and met other co-workers, I noticed one thing about Pulte, and that was the overall mood of the office. There was an excitement and energy that I felt. I have now been at Pulte for about 5 months and there is no question in my mind that this is a company I intend to stay with for the foreseeable future. The day I was given two books to read, I realized that this company wanted all their employees on the same page and focused on the same goal. That was something I thought was very unique and special. Pulte does numerous things that keep the employees delighted and excited. From the monthly birthday potlucks with contests, monthly all-hands meetings, company trips, departments specific activities, there are many things that we look forward to that keep us excited and focused on our goals. I have really felt rewarded and appreciated for the work I do. Now I get to brag about where I work!
