As a long-term fan of Pulte Homes Corporation prior to my hiring, I realize that the entrepreneurial spirit is in fact ingrained throughout the company from the new construction intern to the top. In fact, Richard Dugas (CEO) said, Pulte Homes Corporation is driven on results and not on who you know in the company or where you’re from, but simply your performance each and everyday, and that we empower the employee to make the “right” decision every time. “That” empowerment helps create the entrepreneurial decision-making that continues to make our company great! To start out, I would like to say that I am a very delighted African American employee working for Pulte Homes. The reason why I stated that I am African American is because of many other jobs that I have had and seen throughout my college hiring process. Pulte Homes is the greatest place to work. The reason being is the outstanding atmosphere that my fellow employees give me day in and day out. I hear stories from my fiancé, brothers, and parents complaining everyday about how they stress about the people they work with and for. It is not so much the actual work that they do, because they do enjoy what they do, but the people that they work with are not outstanding employees day in and day out. There is not a single employee throughout the Pulte organization that I can think of that is not an outstanding person. It is so funny because that is how Bill Pulte wants his company to be, and it actually is. There are not many Bill Pulte’s out there who started a company to be very successful in every aspect. Pulte Homes is a company that is very successful in every aspect. Being an African American and enjoying myself day in and day out with my fellow employees is a great honor. I enjoy every day that I put on a Pulte Homes shirt and walk with my chest high. There were so many companies throughout my hiring process that I witnessed people who did not enjoy the people they work for and with. Pulte Homes is the total opposite because they are the BEST COMPANY TO WORK FOR and the BEST PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. You can have the Best company to work for and not the best people to work with, it’s a big difference.
